Striking Balance continues as Season 2 explores nine more of Canada’s breathtaking UNESCO biosphere reserves. Narrated by Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, each 50-minute episode visits a different biosphere to investigate how residents are overcoming the problems that are threatening the sustainability of these amazing places. Striking Balance will challenge what you think you know about the natural world, and our place in it.

Commissioned by TVO, with support from the Knowledge Network and the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Striking Balance Season 2 was first broadcast in the fall of 2020. Striking Balance Season 2 has been nominated for the 2021 Rob Stewart Award for Best Science or Nature Documentary Program or Series at the Canadian Screen Awards.
